The Most Important Question is ‘Why?’

A husband was helping his wife prepare a ham for Sunday dinner. He noticed that she cut off both ends of the ham off before putting it in the baking pan. He asked her why she did that. Her response was ‘I don’t know. I guess because my mother always did.’

The following Sunday, they had dinner with the wife’s parents and she asked her mother why she always cut off both ends of the ham before putting it in the baking pan. Her mother responded with ‘I don’t know. I guess because my mother always did.’

The following Sunday, they had the whole extended family over for dinner and they asked the grandmother, why she cut off both ends of the ham before putting it in the baking pan. Her response was ‘Because it wouldn’t fit in the baking pan.’

Truth Be Told, you may think a simple process is not worth asking about, but until you do, you may not discover that it really was!
